Oedo Island is the first island in Korea to be owned and developed privately and is a marine botanical garden that is a part of the Hallyeo Maritime National Park. The island is only accessible from nearby Geoje Island which sits off the coast of Busan. If you want to take an adventure in Korea, this is a good place to shoot for.

Oedo-Botania is a marine botanical garden located in Hallyeo Maritime National Park, which has a beautiful view of the crystal blue South Sea and surrounding landscape. It is 4 kilometers away from Geojedo Island. About 20 minutes by ship from Gujora Port, past Naedo Island lies the European-like Oedo Island.

Because Oedo is only accessible by ferry, we bought tickets that includes ferry fare (₩16,000 per adult and ₩ 9,000 for age 2 to 12) and the Oedo Botania entrance fees (₩11,000 for adult and ₩8000 for youth). After a lunch at one of the restaurants in front of the car park, we took the 1:20 pm ferry that reached Oedo Island at 1:50pm.

Oedo Island, officially called Oedo Botania, (in Korean: 외도 보타니아) is a botanical maritime garden located on a small rocky island, 4km from the coast of Geoje Island ( check out our full post about Geoje here ). It takes about 20 minutes by boat from Gujora after passing the island of Naedo. Oedo is also accessible by boat from other areas of Geoje.
